I read an article in the December issue of Ensign magazine that, while not a typical Christmas story, was a story of true love and unselfishness that touched my heart. Titled Dad's Lesson in Love, by Marcia Akes, it is the love story of the author's in-laws. While both of her in-laws struggled with health issues in their later years, Mom was bedridden for several years, and it was up to Dad to take care of her. Marcia tells of some sweet moments, like Dad learning to cook so he could bake Mom's…

I started blogging full time just really a couple of months ago. Jan Feb 2009 I had a blog but I never really posted much. Now I update at least once a day Mon-Fri. and have visited far too many blogs in the blogsophere.
I think I am just going to stick to the ones I really enjoy and comment on my blog back. That seems to work for me. 'Cause quite frankly you never know how somebody might react to you if you are a new fan to their blog and ask them to do something with you. Stick with the ones y…

Today, on my Queen of the Clan blog, I had a very touching interview with Heather Justesen, talking about her experiences as a foster care mother, and how they inspired her to write The Ball's in Her Court. Come check it out on my blog today at:

In this day and age where people's lives are busier than ever, Mom's are searching for ways to provide healthy meals for their family without investing a lot of time. If I said you could cook up chicken or steak fajita's in 5 minutes, would that picque your interest? How about your favorite stir-fry in the same amount of time? There is a small kitchen appliance called the "Chef Stir Pan" that is a busy Mom's answer to healthy cooking and an active lifestyle. Hang in there with me...it is an elec…

When I started blogging last year, I had no idea how to do anything on my site... it looked so generic. I looked into buying a blog design, too expensive and unoriginal and if I got a free one, at least a couple of my friends had the same ones. SO, that is when I got in my mind to teach myself some of the tricks of the trade... I learned things designers won't share! But you know what? I will. So a couple months ago I started a blog solely for the purpose of sharing what I have discovered so YOU…

Hello all! I have a question for all you mothers out there. Mainly ones with a child with peanut allergies! My little on got a peanut on the floor at grandmas house. Two hours later her body was covered in a rash! My doctor says it is the peanut but she had just stopped taking Amoxicillin for an ear infection! She had been off the med. for 24 hours. Here is a link to some pictures of the rash. If you have advice it would be appreciated.

Have you seen the yahoo buzz today? I was amazed about yahoo's featured news, a 19.2 pounder new born baby. The mother and the baby are from Indonesia. Her recently delivered baby was the heaviest newborn ever recorded in their country. I am pregnant now, and I'm hoping and praying that my baby would be an 8-10 pounder but am so afraid that he/she will be as heavy as this one. All I can think about now is how painful the birth was. I have also read that this newborn baby is not the heaviest newb…

A few weeks ago I was at the Olympic Park in Park City, Utah waiting in line for the Alpine Slide ride, and I couldn't help but overheard the two young mothers in front of me discussing how they succeeded in making their babies sleep through the night. They used phrases like, "He only cried for an hour the first night" and "Mine cried fifteen minutes and then I went in and patted his back for a while" and "It took several nights, but he sleeps all night now." They expressed both guilt for lettin…

I know, almost all of the students hate to write their paper works in school like essays. Yeah, It's hard creating a good one, but if you make it right, it will be just a piece of cake for you.
I listed tips on making a good essay and I dedicate it for the students.
1. First, you should think of a good topic.
Think of a topic that interest you and you think it's easy to do. Don't think of complicated topics. I suggest you to pick a topic that can benefit your readers, maybe for the students or…

August and September have found me very motivated. I've been getting hours of each day writing on my book. I completed the first complete revision in August and after two wonderful friends read it I am now working on the second complete revision with their comments and questions in mind.
I have never been so excited about anything in my life! I breathe, eat, sleep and live this story. When I'm not sitting at the computer it is still the only thing running through my mind. That has made it hard…
